How Depop fees work (US sellers)

  • Selling fee: 0% for sellers based in the US (also UK and Australia).
  • Payment processing (Depop Payments via Stripe): 3.3% + $0.45 on item price plus shipping plus applicable taxes.
  • Boosted Listings (optional): 12% of the item price (excluding tax), plus shipping only if you don't use a Depop Shipping label. Charged only when a buyer saw the boosted listing and bought within 28 days (new listings from March 23, 2026).
  • Refunds: if the buyer is refunded, all fees are reversed.

Worked example

You sell a vintage tee for $50, buyer pays $8 shipping, no tax. Label $7, item cost $15. Not boosted.

  1. Processing: 3.3% × $58 + $0.45 = $2.36
  2. Total costs: $22.00
  3. Net profit: $33.64 (58% margin)
  4. If boosted (Depop label): +$6.00 boost fee → $27.64

No. Depop charges no selling fee to US-based sellers. You pay payment processing of 3.3% + $0.45 per sale through Depop Payments.

How much is the Depop Boost fee?

For US listings from March 23, 2026, the boosting fee is 12% of the item price (excluding tax) plus shipping if you arrange your own shipping. It isn't charged on Depop Shipping labels, and only applies if the buyer viewed the boosted listing and bought within 28 days.

Are Depop fees refunded if I refund the buyer?

Yes. When a buyer is refunded, the processing and boosting fees are reversed automatically for Depop Payments transactions.
